CareSpace security and your data

Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you are the Data Fiduciary for your clients' information. CareSpace processes that data only on your instructions. This page sets out what that means in practice.

 

Where your data is stored

 

Client records are stored on Indian infrastructure and encrypted both in transit and at rest.

 

What we never do with it

 

Your session notes and client records are not used to train any AI model. They are never sold, and never shared with a third party.

 

Your records stay yours

 

You can download your client records, session notes and invoices at any time, with no fee and no waiting period. When your free trial ends, your dashboard doesn't lock. It stays open in read-only mode, so you can still see and download every session note and invoice. You only need to subscribe to add or edit records.

Why DPDP and not HIPAA

 

HIPAA is a United States law and does not apply to practices in India. CareSpace is built around the DPDP Act. Our DPDP compliance guide for therapists explains what the Act asks of you.
